4th of Something
We had people over on the 4th, and luckily we could see some fireworks from our rooftop. I stole all of these photos from our friend Janet’s blog.

We decided that we were finally moved in & settled enough to have a housewarming. Every time I watch Lost, I think about changing the logo to Loft and making a sign for our door. But that seems too much like a dorm room, so I just used it as the facebook invite image. I also made this one:
That’s Leah and I as Juliet and Sawyer. Not that I really like Sawyer’s character at all, but I couldn’t find a great image of Faraday and Charlotte.
During the party, someone rearranged Leah’s dinosaurs into some foul arrangements.
Leah passed out after everyone left, but I stayed up and cleaned.
Trying to get back into the swing of blog posting, while also looking in to leaving GoDaddy for other pastures.
The assignment here was to do a 10×15 comic featuring no images. Only words, sound effects, borders. And there should be some reason why the panels are blank. So, a snowstorm, being blind, etc. Here’s mine:
It could be called “Know Your Enemy” but since it’s about water, perhaps “H2O Your Enemy”.

I’m taking a comics class at SVA right now, and this is some classwork from the first session. It was a jam comic, where someone started at the end, then passed it on to another person who would add the panel before it. That would keep going until the comic had finished (which is at the beginning, so it would keep going until the comic started, really). I got this one early, my panels in the bottom left.

Been keeping track of which comics I read, as I read them. This is a list of issues/books completed in January. This does not include things that I’m not finished reading yet. So no American Elf, Tin Tin, Popeye, or MOME.
It’s 2010. I’ve redesigned my portfolio site, withoutbones.com, yet again and I wanted a blog to match it. I also wanted the blog to be a subdomain of the main site. So that’s what you are seeing. The old posts (07-09) are available on tswob.blogspot.com and will remain there until blogspot decides to delete them.
The theme on this site is based off of these tutorials, which were very helpful and detailed. I did all the tutorials and then came back in to tweak it to match my site. If you ever need to quickly understand php/wordpress, check out that site.
This blog will continue to collect various inspirations, work in progress, final work, and me talking about television and comic books or posting music videos.
Enjoy ’010.
